Zora Stephenson works as s a reporter, play-by-play broadcaster, and host for NBC Sports. Some of her assignments include Notre Dame Football, USFL, and gymnastics.
In 2021, Zora was selected to serve as a sideline reporter for NBC's coverage of the United States’ men’s and women’s basketball teams during the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo. She served as a host for the NBC Sports’ Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics coverage. Prior to her time at NBC Sports, Zora was the reporter and fill-in play-by-play broadcaster for the Milwaukee Bucks for four seasons. She won two Reporter of Year Chicago Emmy's. During her time in the Midwest, Zora did everything from in-game interviews to long form storytelling. Zora started a series with the players entitled, "In The Zone With Z." She periodically took to the court for a game of "HORSE" with a Bucks player and asks questions throughout. Zora made history in 2021, becoming the first woman to do play-by-play for the Bucks. She now has experience calling multiple NBA, WNBA, and college basketball games in the play-by-play seat. Zora made the switch to sports broadcasting after spending two years in Denver, Colorado where she was an Emmy-award winning news reporter and anchor for Fox 31 and Colorado's Own Channel 2 News. Zora started her career in 2015 as a reporter with WNCT-TV in Greenville, North Carolina where she won the Radio Television Digital News Association of the Carolinas’ Reporter of the Year in 2016. Zora has roles as a radio contributor and event host. She served as the host for the Milwaukee Bucks 2021 NBA Championship parade.She loves amplifying other people's stories and has the ability to share those stories in multiple ways. Originally from northern Virginia, Zora played four years of basketball at Elon University, an NCAA Division I school in North Carolina. |
